What's your June ACT goal score?

For people who have taken the ACT before, was your official score the same, higher, lower than your practice tests?

My goal score is a 32, though I will be happy with a 30 as this is my first time taking it. My score all depends on how I do on the reading and science sections, as my math and english are consistently around a 32 and 34 respectively.

I’m telling my parents (who are used to seeing me do everything perfect) NOT to expect a good score on this. This will be the first time I’m taking it, and I just want to get a feel for everything. My goal score? 36. But really, my goal score on this first test without any studying or review of the math I’ll need is around a 26.

Good luck, everybody.

To take test w/o prep is a waste of time / money. Why? Most math is middle school material and even very best students do not remember a lot of it. Math was the only section that my D. prep. for - 1 hour / day for about 5 days. With this minimum effort, it worked for her. She took ACT one time. It looks good when it is only one try. Strongly recommend to prep. following your own plan.

Actually, the ACT Math section does get somewhat advanced, at least compared to the SAT Math section.

35 at least - otherwise its a waste of time

If the goal is 35, definitely do some prep. Maybe few math problems in ACT are HS, but most of them are from long time ago and good students in advanced classes do not remember it anymore. I heard it from several people and witnessed it with my D. Re-freshing math is an easy way to improve ACT considerably.

I want a 35 (34.5+, really), and i’ve been getting 35-36 math, 34-36 reading, 34-36 science, but 32 english. What can i do to bump this up before tomorrow? the big ones i’m missing are those “style/rhetoric” questions. I’m pretty solid on my grammar.

I’ve taken like 6 practice tests.
I wanna get between a 30-32.
I suck at math so it’s gonna be hard. I can never get my math score above 25.
I always get 29+ on English and Reading, though.
Science is mad easy, too. I always get 28 haha.
Essay is gonna be cake.

“Most math is middle school material and even very best students do not remember a lot of it.”

Not hardly. How could we ever forget Pre-algebra or Algebra 1 topics? They are so basic.

I don’t see how getting a 28 on Science justifies it as “mad easy”, but that’s just my personal preference.

From all my practice tests, I’ve gotten 33+ Eng, 35+ Math, 30+ Reading, and 29+ science. My highest were 34E/36M/33R/32S which would be a 34 :D!

Ideally, if I don’t make many (if any at all) careless mistakes, I can achieve that 34 dream score. Realistically, though, with all that time pressure, I’d assume I’m going to get around a 31 or 32, hopefully not any lower or I’d be pretty upset with myself.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that tomorrow will be my first time taking a real ACT too.

I’ve taken-
2 English practice tests: 33, 35 respectively
6 Math: Always score between a 30-33, average is between a 31 and 32
Reading: Only taken one, didn’t do too great (like a 26 or 27), but got a 32 on Plan Reading (100%) so I’m not too worried.
1 Science- 29. I was very proud of myself. This section is hit-and-miss for me. Hopefully I can pull it off again.

So with my best scores, my composite would be a 31. ARGH. At least it’s my first time.

Tomorrow is my first time taking the ACT, also. I HOPE to get a 28+ so far my highest score has been English-30. My math is around a 29, my reading is around a 27, and my science is around there too.

I really want to get a 34… I got a 31 last time with just using the Red Prep book… and this time I got a tutor and practiced a TON. I’ve done so many practice tests. I’m good with English and Reading, it’s just some of the math and always that darn science that gets me down.

Best of luck to you all! :)

I got a 31 on the PLAN Reading, but I looked on the back and it said I answered every question correctly…

at least 28…looking forward to 30…

Good luck, everyone…

Basically it all comes down to the science. I consistantly score 33+ on reading math and english but science kills me every time. Ultimate goal would be 30 science 34math 33 reading 33 english resulting in a 33 overal. If I get a 33 I would probably cry, maybe die, with overwhelming joy. I NEED A 30+ ON SCIENCE!!!

I want to improve my math score! By at least 2 points. Goal composite 32, then 33-34 in September.

I have only been able to 1-2 practice tests…I have so much stuff going on right now. But, when I took them, both times I finished math in 40 min, 36. Science - 34. Writing -30. Reading - 29. So I am hoping for a 32/33 tomorrow!

Best of luck to all.
