What's your ride?

@big dreamer:

Haha, I have to agree with you on the special editions, I definitely prefer the clean-cut Lamborghini with nothing fancy on it, except maybe a spoiler and some side strakes. YouTube test drives of Lamborghinis are nice, but I also love watching motorcycles, especially the Hayabusas and ZX-14’s. You into bikes at all? And no, there’s definitely no way a Lamborghini is practical!

The Reventon was really nice, everybody kept making references to its fighter-jet like appearance, it definitely looked slick as anything. I have to say that if you want stealth styling, Aston Martins, especially the Vanquish, are pretty damn stealthy. You know the rear bumper on a Murcielago costs around $10,000? And I really didn’t like the whole suede interior thing for the Reventon, prefer a leather steering wheel in my opinion!

Oh yes, I remember the Estoque. That thing doesn’t even count as a Lamborghini, it looked absolutely terrible! Honestly, it resembled a slightly modified Supra, not saying the Toyota was a bad car, but for a Lamborghini it was a step down. They definitely need to watch what they’re doing at the concept design center.

And that story, is just insane! Closest thing I did to that was in Las Vegas, when I would go Lamborghini hunting. We would just drive around looking for them, and film them as they drove around. Not half as fun as what you did!

Yeah, the “stock” models are sweet. I didn’t like the Superleggera Gallardo, but the SV Murcielago looks unreal. You’re right, just the modified body kit and beast of a wing made it look sick. Honestly, if I had a choice of my Lambo purchases right now (lol, am reaaaaaaally hoping I can get one later on), I would take a new Gallardo, a Convertible Murcielago, original Countach, and Muira. Sometimes special editions appear gimmicky, straight stealth styling is better :D

Bikes are pretty cool, but I don’t pay too much time looking at them. I think it’s because I would never dream of riding one, but I never thought that I would rev a Lambo to redline :wink: I talk with my friend and teacher (bike fanatics) about them like 2 times a week, but I don’t know a lot about them. My friend’s bro has a straight insane racing bike, sorry can’t remember name. He blacked out every panel he could (except engine), and it looks awesome with its monstor engine (maybe 500 CC).

Yeah, the Reventon’s styling was inspired by the F-22 fighter jet. Lambo designers and execs actually sat in the planes and went to military bases to draw inspiration. The thing is the meanest-looking car I’ve ever seen, slicker than all the other crazy lambos, race-ispired Ferraris, tuned Portsches, etc.

I think that Aston-Martins are slick, sexy, sophisticated, and gracefully muscular. I don’t think of them as stealth in a Lambo way, but more in a timeless shape kind of way. You know what I mean, that’s like the difference between beauty (Aston Martin) and beast (Lambo) lol ;)

I’m glad the Estoque was pulled, it was very ugly. The way the latest Bentleys (Mulsanne) turned out, VW looks a bit weird, Porsche has strayed, I think Lambo needs to rethink its designs before it does anything extreme now. Only Audi looks good in that current corporation, so they must be vary wary. I wish I could pen the next Lambo, that would be a fun job. I agree, it looked like a step down from the norm, and Toyotas have gotten veeeeeery ugly in the last 3 years! (well, compared to previous 10, their design seems to be faltering).

Lol, I was incredibly happy that night! The interior of the Gallardo is very small, as my knees were pressed on the steering wheel uncomfortably. And leather is much better than Alcantara, suede feels and looks a bit weird as main trim. If it was mainly leather, it would be better!

Still, cruising around vegas for hot cars is still cool! Where do you live again? Wish I had some of your vids…

I drive an 04 Lexus RX 330. Its a 5 seater SUV.

The interior is very nice. Doesn’t feel plasticy like Ford, Chevy, etc…

However, it drives REALLY BORING. SO FRICKIN MONOTONOUS. Jesus christ. You’re so high up from the ground so when you’re going 80 it feels like you’re going 30 in a sedan.

And the CD player doesn’t work. :frowning:
