[Something in college]

^only one class?

Senior (yawn time to slack off)
ap english lit
ap physics c
ap gov/econ
ap theory
multi-var calc/differential equations/linear algebra
o-chem

AP Chem is extremely easy when you understand the concepts. Just read over the textbook, it’s nothing difficult :). Just regurgitation of things you learned in middle school and then some!

Course scheduling for senior year begins for me now… thinking about what I want to do. My grades haven’t been so great during class and senior year we have the option for self-study/independent work with a “mentor” that you’d meet 2x a week. I’m heavily considering that.

I’d independent-study a language, probably, too. And a math.

AP European History
AP Chinese Language and Culture
Varsity Debate
Independent Study Hebrew
Independent Study Mathematics… no idea what topic though
Origami :)

Senior year we have the option of making 2 classes pass/fail. I might do it for AP Euro and Chinese, hmm.

mine is
Ap Physics
AP Lit
AP Gov’t and contemporary world
Advanced Calculus
Differential Equations
and a 2 period health science nevac which i get college credit and become a nursing assistant and get to intern at University of Washington Medical Center

College. If I go to MIT, I’ll get as much physics as possible out of the way during the sweet freshman grading deals they have. Pass no record first semester and A, B, C, no record (I think) second. And take Art History, Chinese, and linguistics. Maybe a random language at Harvard. Same thing if I go to UChicago, with more random languages, and same if I go anywhere else.
If I go to Cambridge, all linguistics, all the time.

As a sophomore…

English II H
World History H
Algebra II H
Chemistry H
Spanish III H
World Religions
Creative Writing II
Drama I, II, and III

Yes, this is the hardest course load available to me… it’s almost the hardest for the grade. The only class would be Spanish IV H. I started Spanish in 9th grade, while other kids have been learning it since elementary… so they’re in Spanish IV H… I skipped Spanish II.

Some of these kids are scaring me. But . . .

Junior Year

IB Physics SL
IB English SL
IB History of the Americas SL

Ugh. Too many SL classes. Oh well.

Senior:

AP Lit
AP Stat
Honors Physics
AP US Gov
Spanish IV
AP Psych
Band

At our school, AP Chem is disproportionately hardcore. Probably because our teacher got her graduate degree in chem from Harvard (lol apparently her advice: “Don’t go to Harvard”). Apparently for the midterm this year she basically gave an AP test, but with no curve. So when you would get a 4 (or a 50%) you would be stuck with a D on your report card.

I’m more worried about the work than the testing though. I hate busywork with a passion.

Who cares, really?

Junior
HL English yr I

AP Government and Politics
IB History of the Americas HL
IB Physics HL
IB English HL
IB Math SL
AP Spanish/AP Calculus AB/Chamber Choir
AP Spanish/AP Calculus AB/Chamber Choir

^Depends on what my rank is at the end of the year. If I can’t convince my parents, or I’m not valedictorian, no choir.

light shining - TOK is an actual class where you are? Is it a weighted 5.0? We just have it in the mornings at my HS. It’s kind of weird, and it doesn’t go on our transcripts. TOK starts an hour before school starts, and we do this twice a week for two semesters.

Well… by the looks of it my schedule is probably going to be along the lines of:

Organic Chemistry
Calculus 3
Chemical Engineering Programming
Analytical Chemistry
Differential Equations
Statics
Quantum Chemistry
Thermodynamics
Fluid Mechanics

Remember though, this is a whole year…

I’m not feeling the whole Orgo thing next year…really not sure of much right now
