what's your type?

so I've been told that people like to find people who are just like them to date and stuff thinks about certain sites I've heard about but then you see a bunch of couples that are so different it shocks you that they get along, what do you think?

What ?

I think EverLane wants to find out the type of person we like to date.

Right ?

Well I have a huuuuuuuge list actually (No one has met them all, but getting closer crosses fingers)

I like to date physics geeks. I've resigned myself to that fact -- everyone I've dated turned into or has been a physics fan. I don't even know why.

But I think it's really funny when they and I start disagreeing on everything.

and recently, of course, there's that someone who I can actually agree with. unfortunately, there's other problems involved that would make it utterly impossible for dating. well, anytime in the near future, anyhow.

maybe I just attract complications.

i mainly look for maturity, humor and athleticism (or being really good at something else). I don't really look for a "type" of girl...

i personally like redheads

hahaha...I look for intelligence, maturity, being involved in some sport or something along those lines, someone who can always make me laugh, responsiblity, friendliness, determination, a heart full of ambitions and at least a bit attractive...

I also respect the guys that don't beg for attention by doing something incredibly stupid...

I've always been attracted to shy guys. And normally they're good at math. And I like skinny nerdy guys.

I think "nerdy shy" guys are more romantic....and, it's just easier to not feel like you're constantly in competition for them? I don't know how to explain it.

I like a guy who is funny and sweet; being really into a certain sport is a nice quality as well, has to be smart (not like a super genius, but not an airhead)

honestly: i'm usually attracted to guys who know they're attractive..=they're usually into themselves--but not really in a bad way. they usually like the same kind of music i do--alternative hip hop/underground...'original' rap--same clothing style--mainly sneakerheads.
they're ALWAYS funny...race/ethnicity isn't usually an issue although most of them have been black/latino...my friends think i 'm going through an asian phase right now though...

Heeeeeeeeey. How you doin'? ;)

haha, you're a bit too mathematics-lovin'

...and young.

and I'd feel like a dirty pedophile.

european girls are always at the top of my list :)

Hot indie band guy...with romantic lyrics they can sing to me :) Also must be: intelligent, fit, beach-loving, and happy with himself

I always have a crush on girls that are completely opposite of what I am. When I was unhealthily skinny, I had a very huge crush on chubby girl. I was heavily affected then although now she seems extremely ugly.

However, as I became huge now, I seem to develop affections to tiny, small girls. This also happens to most of the guys I know.

As to personality qualities, I'm used to accepting anything except being a whore. Being a whore is an automatic turnoff and loss of much of mine respect to a person.

=] My type....=] Gothic guys.

Funny
Taller than me. Ha ha [ xD I'm 5'4'']
Likes to play games
Respectful
Long hair
Wears eyeliners. x]]]]]]

=P HHhhmmm I wonder where he is. LOL.

Smart
Not too stuckup or dramatic
Can have fun with, without going anywhere
Has more fun hanging out with other friends, than dancing or something
Laughs at or appreciates corny jokes
Respectful of everyone
Smaller than me (less than 5'7 115) so i dont feel like a shrimp
A girl

...Not necessarily in that order

Yea, so i guess i want someone pretty similar to me, but i think its more fun if her interests are different than mine (i.e. i like physics, she's into bio or english; i force her to go to a bball game she wouldn't otherwise go to, she makes me go shopping at the mall)

[giggles] Shrimp. =] That made me hungry. x]

i also want someone with the style of travis of gym class heroes (cupid's chokehold song...)....punk meets urban.

question: if you meet a person for the first time at a dance, how close would you dance to them?

I'm too lazy to write something coherent, so I'll just give a list of pros/cons:

PROS:
*Passionate to the point of awkwardness about something-- be it music or computers or math or physics or Dante or Lebanese cuisine. NERDY MM.
*Thoughtful, but also doesn't take himself too seriously. Can distinguish the times to be grave versus those to have fun.
--->Corollary: Not hung up on the whole dignity thing. Willing to be ridiculous.
*Physically affectionate.
*Wants to learn, expand his horizons, try new things, go new places.
*Dark hair + dark eyes = win.

CONS:
*Obsessed with sports. This is the exception to the first pro, simply because I could never really appreciate/partake in that part of his life.
*Self-absorbed/emo. Gross.
*Uber-masculine. I can't stand men who revel in... well, being pubescent dicks. Testosterone fueled muscle comparisons are icky. Violence is icky. Misogyny is icky. Emotional repression is icky.
---->Corollary: Popped collars are also icky.
*Conventionally religious. There would be such a gap in perspective. I can respect those beliefs, but I don't think I could be in a serious relationship with someone who holds them.
*Super-skinny, super-large, or super-muscular. I like men who are short-average height and average weight. Extremes kind of scare me. (This is, however, a negotiable con).
