Accepted. (Received letter today). I am also a Balfour Scholar, meaning $12,500/year academic scholarship and $4,000 stipend. Wheaton is looking better and better to me.

Wow! Congratulations, JillianMarie. Did you receive the good scholarship news in the same mailing as your acceptance?

hey you guys, i have a question. now that i've had time to think, if you decide to take your waitlist option, can you say yes to another school and then back out after everything if you get admitted to your waitlist school? i'm wondering if it's worth the risk and everything. any ideas?

yeah im pretty sure you can....

accepted for jAN term...WACK Im going to Smith

Yes, the scholarship stuff did come with the admissions decision. And thanks.

congrats to all the accepted students! im in too but i think im going to MHC. Sara, gl at Smith! Northampton is an awesome place!

Xaguamelonx, you can take the waitlist option and accept somewhere else, but you'd lose your 5/1 deposit if you haven't come off the waitlist by 5/1. You really have to do your homework on the waitlist, is it ranked, where you stand, etc........Goodluck.

There's an ad that Wheaton placed on the Education page of the New York Times with a list of Rhodes and Fulbright scholars, and what their plans are for next year...interesting.
