Okay, you people that were rejected need to get more class. Dissing Cal Poly because you’re bitter and/or got into better schools is inconsiderate towards others who are planning on attending.

Just because you were rejected doesn’t mean you have to be total jerks. If you wanted to go to more selective schools, why did you apply in the first place?

got rejected for biological sciences

Rejected ArchE, couldn’t stop laughing. I expected it anyway with my stats, it was worth a try.

Good luck to everyone who plans on going there, it’s a great school! :)

Frankly, while reputation factors into how a school is, what you get out of it is what you put into it. And dude, Cal Poly is pretty selective. The fact that don’t have a holistic system in reaching a decision makes it more difficult to be considered, so no need to be so bitter about it.

Sorry if I offended anyone… just some post-rejection venting. Cal Poly is a good school. Those accepted should be proud.

My level of giving a **** has been the lowest this time of the year… I applied 4-6 months ago. The emotions just tapered off.

God, I’m so sorry guys. I can’t imagine how you must feel right now. For what it’s worth, I got accepted but there is a good chance my acceptance is going to get rescinded. I’m a transfer student and wasn’t able to get into a chemistry class that I stated I would take on my Cal Poly application. They told me to send in my official transcripts right away and that I would only know for certain after someone has reviewed my transcripts. I just wish I knew for sure like you guys rather than waiting and wondering and stressing out about it. It has really taken a toll on me.

I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason. If you didn’t get into Cal Poly, you weren’t destined for Cal Poly. That is not the path you were meant to take. Of course, this kind of advise is much easier to give than it is to follow. ;)

Anyways, I wish you all the best of luck whatever you do and wherever you end up!

well thanks for the kind words but I was rejected today for biomedical enginerring with 3.95 weighted gpa, 1940 sat and 4.0 university gpa accumulated from 13 units of college courses. I just don’t understand after all the effort I put I got rejected from csu (pretty bummed because I proabably will have bad chance for other schools I applied to.

I am sorry to hear that sdsenior , I was hoping to see you at Cal Poly. I am wishing you all the best with other colleges ! Keep you head up !

Rejected
EE transfer

GPA:3.67

Rejected for Aerospace Engineering. I wasn’t planning on going if I got into Berkeley or Santa Cruz for astrophysics (what I really want to major in, Cal Poly just doesn’t offer it, so I chose the next best thing for me), but it’s quite disappointing that I got rejected from such a great school, especially for my selected major.
