Sorry if this has already been asked but when are pell grants, work/study, ect. awards based off of the FAFSA awarded? So far, I haven't been awarded anything aside from a small scholarship from my university and I'm a little nervous

When you get your fin aid letter from the college, everything will be detailed there. For some schools that could be in April.

I've already received my financial aid letter and the only thing that was mentioned was a small scholarship for women in engineering.

I think I just need to wait and call the school.

"you" won't be awarded anything from pell. The grant is sent to the school. After it is applied to tuition and fees there are any remaining $ then you may get something.

As far as work study is concerned, as soon as you get find an job where you can use you work study funds and work, you will get paid according to your schools work study payment schedule. If you don't get a job, you will not get the work study funds.

Skylarsky--if you have the FA award, and there is no Pell listed, that most likely means you didn't qualify for one. It is based solely on your EFC. Is there a particular reason you assume you qualify for one? If so, then a call to the school as to why it wasn't awarded is in order. OTOH, all students qualify for a Stafford loan, either subsidized or unsub, so if that's not there either, then that would indicate that you don't have a full FA award at this time, but you will.
