I think someone said it came from their early write. Not sure though.

It-s March 23 (this Friday!!) - the date was specified in the letters sent to the early writes.

thats when there sent... so should someone in MA expect in saturday or monday? Are acceptances and rejections sent at same time?

All decisions (acceptances and rejections) are sent at the same time. I wouldn't expect one-day postal service to western Massachusetts but you never know . . Monday seems more likely but you should probably start watching for the mailman on Saturday. Good luck.

r u sure i always thought it was April 1st they come in the mail?

The March 23d date was stated in the letters to all the "early writes." Bowdoin has a new admissions director this year - I would guess that he decided to move the schedule up a week as the mailing date has been about April 1st in prior years.

BTW, I just saw over on the Williams thread that someone received a acceptance today that he/she believes to have been a regular decision acceptance (and not an "early write") so perhaps a number of the LACs have decided to slightly accelerate the decision-making process this year.

The people who got acceptances from Williams got early writes not regular decision acceptances. The letters were written on the 13th.

At least a couple of the Williams admittees say that their acceptance letters do not say that they are "early writes." Also they were mailed a couple of weeks after the early writes so it's hard to say what they really are - maybe a second wave of early writes??

Most likely. Until we hear rejections, we won't know for sure. Also- if these were non early writes, wouldn't we hear from more ccer's?

how long would it take to reach california from bowdoin? Maybe Tuesday?

^ I'd like to know as well. I am assuming that rejections would take longer because they wouldn't be sent via priority mail.

Perhaps I'm just stupid... what's the difference between Priority and Regular Mail?? :-P

Priority mail is part of the regular US mail but arrives in 2 -3 days for an additional fee or the next day for an even higher fee. Regular mail is the least expensive and gets to you whenever, maybe 4-7 days depending on the distance.

Actually the US Postal Service estimates the same delivery time for both priority mail and first-class mail -- 2-3 days.

So it should only take like 2 days to get to Western Mass? I'm hoping for Monday, I have to be somewhere on Tuesday till 9PM! That would be grueling!

^Yeah, if you get accepted, there is not doubt you will be recieving the letter on Monday. Good luck, dude.

I soo hope rejections and acceptances are sent at the same timeeee

Did anyone confirm with the admissions office that they mailed the letters on March 23 or is everyone just going on what someone said was in an early write letter?
