I'm looking to apply Early Decision for U of R and I am puzzled when the deadline for this is November 1st, yet some sites also say that SAT/ACT scores are due Jan. 1st. Is the Jan 1st deadline only for regular decision?

Thanks

Now, really, if they give you a reply by mid-December, how could the deadline for standardized test scores be January 1?

Sometimes a college or university can allow you a little bit more time after the application deadline for standardized test scores to arrive. But if you want an authoritative answer about when U of R needs to receive your standardized test scores, you should call the Admissions Office and ask them: (585) 275-3221 or (toll free) (888) 822-2256. If you’re nervous about calling because you’re afraid they’ll think it’s a silly question, feel free to tell them your name is Sikorsky.

Rochester accepts through the Oct test dates for Early Decision see: [Applying to Rochester : Undergraduate Bulletin 2011-2013 : University of Rochester](Applying to Rochester) You should identify Rochester in your test application as a college to automatically receive scores upon release. It accepts through the Jan test date for regular admission. For either the test score can arrive after the application deadline.
