<p>I started a Common App account yesterday just for the sake of it, but I'm afraid that I will have to start a new account for next year. Will my submissions be saved or will I have to wait until whenever next year "starts" in order to have an account? I'll be entering college in 2012.</p>
<p>Yeah, you do. All accounts wipe out in the summer, I think. For last year’s applications, Common App opened on August 1.</p>
<p>Last year, it opened at August 1. I also created an account before it was open. You’ll have to make a new account as the new applying season starts over.</p>
