When do decisions come out?

Indiana still sends their acceptances by mail. My son’s came yesterday. It was a big envelope but only 1 page so very thin. Clarimom, I did the same thing as you by hopping in the car and taking it over to the school where I knew my son was playing squash. Despite it being thin it was an acceptance (thank goodness). However, I am beginning to think that international students (we are in Canada) do not get big packages due to mailing costs. My son had another acceptance by email and it said that he would receive something in the mail. After waiting a month I called the school and they told me they don’t send things in the mail to international students.

My D never got a “fat envelope”, even in undergrad! The schools that used snail mail sent one page, “We are happy to inform you that you have been accepted to the class of…” letters.
It seemed like she was checking her cell phone for her email every few minutes during the season last year and one of my favorite memories was when she came bounding off of a roller coaster at Disney World to where I was sitting (we took a much needed “break” in mid-December) with a big smile because she had found out that she had passed a particularly nerve-wracking pre-screen!

Depaul. Snail mail.

Maryland grad school is supposed to come any day. Has anyone heard? We are not sure if it is email or snail mail.

^^Or Schnauzer mail!

Well, my D’s friend got her Maryland email two days ago. It said “Opera Studio - Mezzo” in the heading. My D is hyperventilating because she hasn’t heard yet (soprano). They are supposed to finish mailing today. Of course, she is at the airport traveling to MSM for auditions now. PLEASE don’t let her get bad news right before she sings…
Thinking good thoughts. Thinking good thoughts.

The rumor is that Northwestern will be out tonight. Does anybody know if that includes Bienen?

I believe that Northwestern is on break this week- they were a week behind all the other Chicago schools. so that either means that they’ll have plenty of time to get things out, or no one is there to handle anything! Seriously though, this process is grueling and schools don’t adhere to time lines. Grad students have to commit by 4/15 so if you really feel that you need to know one way or the other so as to schedule sample lessons, it’s OK to politely ask.
Hang in there and remember to sit down and breathe…

Any idea about CIM undergraduate decisions? Maybe someone form last year knows…

Has anyone heard form university of Miami’s frost school of music for contemporary voice (songwriting program)?

Looks like NU Bienen notificatons are out, for string players at least.

@ellied1124 we heard from Frost on contemporary bass (songwriting program) a couple of days ago via email

Apropos to them being on break when the announcements go live-- I believe some schools do this deliberately so that the inevitable onslaught of phone calls will be delayed until after things cool down.

Boston University says they will post tomorrow, March 22nd.
