@dmarie109 Your daughter may have been unofficially wait listed. I had read last year they had more people accepting admission than they normally get. So this year they are giving a certain amount of acceptances out and seeing who accepts and then make decisions on the other applicants.
@dmarie109 My app was completed same date as your daughters and I too received a letter saying they hope to hear something by mid-February. I, however, keep checking the mail and portal everyday hoping for good news. Wish you and your daughter the best of luck. I’m in the same boat as you

Applied 10/15 - nothing yet. No letter either. Nursing = major. ACT 29; GPA 3.7 (weighted); many community activities w leadership roles. OOS The 12 weeks are up. On the bright side, no rejection either

Ugh just got a letter today that said it will take additional time to finalize my decision. I think it’s because I applied for athletic training as a major. I’m bummed. At least it isn’t a rejection I guess
@ebucci38 I mentioned this before. I heard that last year more people accepted admissions than they planned and got caught off guard. So this year they are probably “deferring” more people to see who accepts admissions from thos who got in. If their is space in that particular major…then they will go back and re-evaluate who is waiting. My D got accepted for a speech major back in Nov. But, is going to Penn State instead. My older D goes to UDel and loves it. Good luck!!
@ebucci38 when did you apply? Could you possibly share some of your stats(test scores, gpa, etc.)? My application was ready for review as of 11/18 and my 8 week period ends tomorrow.
Hi, 2day received a letter after 12.5 wks that said “due to the volume of highly qualified applicants and the competitive nature of the major you have selected (nursing), it will take add’l time to finalize decisions.”
Yep, not a rejection, but essentially a deferral. I previously posted my stats: 00S; act: 29; GPA 3.7.

I applied at the end of october, they had all my stuff november 10th. 3.5 GPA, 1800 SAT, 28 ACT, and pretty strong EC’s (i think anyway). I’m hoping they are just behind schedule. Good luck though

just accepted today, letter in the mail, no email so I was caught off guard. Application complete 11/25, so just over 8 weeks. 3.9 GPA, 32 act, 4 years varsity + club sports, part time job. Good luck to all!
