When do grades come out?

This question is for current students or prospective students w/ good googling skills :)

I never know when grades come out until friends call me or someone posts on here that they're out. Anyone who when they will go on JTF this summer? I tried but couldn't find the info on the Cornell registrar pages.

yeahhh, norcal, i have the exact same question

i dont have definitive info, but its a logical guess

last year, grades were up on the 22

http://www.cornell.edu/academics/calendar/

as u can see, the last final exam in the fall was administered on the 16th. Therefore, from such info, it can be predicted that, final grades will be up for this semester, 6 days from the last final exam day (the 19th). Therefore, I believe the grades will be up the 25th.

i know the grade for my one class. A-. But, we didn't have a final exam. Thank god.

Thanx bball87. Good way to estimate. I know that grades will come out relatively soon (probably within 2 weeks of the end of finals).

norcal, u mean, 1 week from the end of finals, especially, for the second semeser....they have graduation ceremonies, i wouldn't be surprised if they were up by Tues or Wed

when are grades due for teachers to hand in>

teachers have to have them in by tomorrow i believe.

gomestar...how is that possible, i took 2 finals, one on thurs night and one on friday afternoon, both essay based, how could those teachers have to have grades in so soon, like in 48 hours.....that must be tortue

wow, I can't imagine grading all those essays in such a short time period.

me neither, but this was what one of my professors told me. We pay enough for tuition, they can work hard on one weekend to grade essays.

i think i heard something about june 6th.

June 6th sounds a bit more realistic.

Besides, if the seniors need their grades to graduate, they might just do their grades first.

Grades are probably due tomorrow for seniors but I SERIOUSLY doubt for normal students. We had 3 papers (approx. 8 pages each) per person due for my Engl 364 class on Friday. There's NO WAY they can grade them all in one day. The papers for seniors were due earlier because grades for seniors had to be turned in earlier.

idk....i am sayin Thursday is the day

it is consistent with last semester's time frame, and if anythin, i would expect it earlier, like wed, b/c second semester grades have to be turned in quite soon

Professors dont' have to hand in grades until the the 31st I believe.

my girlfriend took a calc final friday afternoon, and the grade for the class was posted early today.

my stats professor said grades are due Tuesday

that makes sense, and i think they will be up on wed or thurs

and norcal, i understand that senior grades are prob done in priority, but seniors are in classes w. jrs, fresh, and soph, ru sayin professors, do their grades first, i don't think so, i just think the process is hurried for second semester....

i am thinkin wed or thurs for online grades

Yes, I am saying that professors do senior grades first unless the final was administered towards the beginning of finals week and the professor has time to finish grading everything. It is a fact that the deadline for senior grades is before the deadline for grades for everyone else.

And it is also a fact that essays from seniors for my Engl 364 class were due before essays from everyone else.

well, i remember last semester, that night when grades came out, EVERYONE found out

what ru insinuating, that some ppl will get them earlier than others>>
