<p>when do people transfer?</p>
<p>I always thought that you went to College A for your freshman year and worked on you grades and then apply to transfer once you were a sophomore but you don't actually go to College B until the fall of your junior year. I know that different people have different plans and do there own things but I want to know what MOST people do. When do the apply to transfer? When do the actually attend their new school?</p>
<p>Probably more people attend college for 2 years and transfer to their new school for jr year, for two reasons:</p>
<ol>
<li>People attend CC for 2 years and get their Associates degree.</li>
<li>When you transfer after just 1 year in college, you will only have completed 1 semester of college when you send in your application, so most of the decision will be weighted on your HS record and test scores.</li>
</ol>
<p>This is not to say that soph transfers are uncommon, they aren’t, but there are likely more jr transfers.</p>
