I know the deadline to SIR is May 1st for most colleges, but during what time frame do most people accept their offer of admission?
It depends on each applicant. Some will SIR right away if they get into their top choice and the financial package works for them. Others may wait until all acceptances are in before deciding. SIR when you feel you are ready to make the commitment.
I thought I knew all the CC acronyms. I am guessing SIR means send in response? Anyway, they deposit when they are sure that is the school they want to attend. For my kid, that was April 30.
