I’m just really nervous at this point. The account says they’ve received everything except my final transcript, quarter grades, and mid-year report. My school’s second quarter just ended this past Friday, grades from teachers are due sometime this week, and I’m not sure how long my guidance dept will take to mail everything out. When will Amherst (and indeed, other colleges) want all this stuff by?

I just received an email from Amherst and among other things it mentions that "Your application may not receive full consideration if all required materials are not received in our office by February 16."

So I assume that is the deadline for the Mid-Year Report.

Don't panic. If you are right up against the deadline, your guidance counselor can probably fax it.

You still have a week before the 16th. If you have't gotten it out by early next week, ask your guidance counselor when you can expect the report to be ready. Then call Amherst, share the facts with them, and ask what you should do.

don't worry-my mid year reports were not sent out until feb 27 and i got an EW from Amherst dated the 1st (and acceptances to 4 schools even before that), Amherst did not even recognize that they got it until the 1st --they either don't care or just want to check that you are doing well. If they really need anything i think they will call your guidance department
