when do we choose classes?

I didn't see the deadline date for class signups (besides HASS-D lottery) in the facebook group. anyone know?
Thanks

You choose classes when you get here, with the help of your advisor. Have an idea of what you want to take.

Also, there will be an event during Orientation called "core blitz", where professors from each of the standard freshman classes will get up and talk about their classes and who should and should not take them. This event is pretty useful, and is likely to be more useful than talking with your advisor. (Of course, talking to upperclassmen is probably equally useful. But core blitz is nice because you're hearing it directly from professors.)

Just so you know, freshman registration is early by MIT standards -- first term freshmen register about a week before classes begin, while everybody else registers on Reg Day, which is the day before classes start.

Hahah - last year I ended up not registering until Reg Day and the women I gave my form to was just like "Holy Fine Batman" but nothing ending up happening.
