there is another post somewhere here about what ur asking.

if you took out any loans and you already made a MPN and did entrance counseling then you just gotta wait until the school gives you the money to start paying.

same goes for scholarships/grants i think.

Why is my statemnet so high?

Minimum Amount Due Now: $5,423.25
Minimum Due + Full Reg Fee: $5,423.25
Account Balance: $17,235.75

I am a california resident (said on bear facts) and am wondering where they got $17,000. It will be **** trying to find an extra $6,000 and is all of this just for the semester and is it really due in two weeks >.<

Viromonkey

The account balance includes both the semester fees and the entire year's payments for room and board. However, the room and board fees are only due as ten equal monthly payments , not considered due all at once.

The amount that is 'due now' is what you pay. It includes one month of room and board plus your semester fees. Every month going forward you will see a bill for another tenth of the R&B, as an example $1,317 for a double in the units on the standard meal plan.

In early 2009, the registration and other fees for the second semester will hit, and you will find one month where the bill is several thousand dollars higher to include those costs, just like this months bill is higher than just the R&B.

1) Can we pay for the R&B for the entire year in August?
2) Are there any other fees that Cal will be charging us other than R&B and the semester fees?

when is the feed due?
they still have not updated my alumni scholarship award
regents is in there, but not alumni ***?

whosthat1234:

The R&B appears to only be billed in 10 monthly installments, not payable in a single payment. If you were to pay up front, the money would just sit there waiting for the monthly bills.

Here is the list of the fees chargeable each semester UC Berkeley Registrar : Registration Fees

Other charges can show up as you sign up for various things, for example, add and drop fees if you change classes during the semester, late registration fees, and the recreational sports facility (gym) fees.

santabanta:

fees and other charges on your account are due by the 15th of the month following the bill. First bills were issued at the end of July and are 'due' by the 15th of August. Each month afterwards appears to be due on the 15th of that month - second room and board charge will show up due September 15th, for example.

No idea about your grants and loans question.

URGENT

My dad made a mistake in depositing the fees and transferred $42k instead of $27k which is what my statement said. Am I screwed?

You can get a check cut for any refund or overpayment, or if you have already set up the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) then it will be done automatically to the account you listed.

If done by paper check, it will be held at:
