Anyone received confirmation/student portal from Calpoly yet?
Last year, my son received his application acknowledgement e-mails (four CSU’s) on October 16th and his Cal Poly portal log-in information on October 21st.
That was under the old application system. I do not know how quickly things are progressing this year. Usually, with any roll out, some delays can be expected.
Yes, my daughter got her information to login to the CalPoly portal about a month after she submitted her application.
A month? That seems slow for a Tech school …
Son received application acknowledgement the day after applying, but the follow up email with the portal information has not been received as of yet.
I submitted my application on 11/13 and was notified by email on 11/14 confirming that Cal Poly received my application, and then notified again by email on 11/21 stating that my application was uploaded into their database. I was also provided a link to create a password for my account for accessing the portal.
Son went back in his mailbox and found the acknowledgement letter. There’s this sentence inside:
"Check your email regularly to receive communications about your application. Once your application has been loaded to our student database, an email will be sent providing information on accessing our university portal, MyCalPoly. Please note, due to the large volume of applications Cal Poly receives, it may take up to three weeks before you receive these instructions. "
So it may take up to three weeks …
i applied early october and it took them like a month to send me the log in info. be patient! they will send it!
Yeah, a month seems slow, but Cal Poly Pomona took closer to 7 weeks!
Son got the CalPoly portal info today. Only two weeks, not too bad. However, there’s almost nothing in the portal, just one line indicating the major he applied to, and “No decision has been made at this time.” Is that what you guys see on your portal?
That’s all you will be seeing for a very long time.
