When does merit and financial aid information come?

Hello. I have been accepted to Indiana University Bloomington, and was wondering when would the aid offer come. Do I have to initiate the process myself, or is there still time before they decide the aid aspect?

I would just check the website and see if that answers your question. If not, contact the appropriate people from the website:

I don’t really know the answer

Thanks for link!

Are you asking about financial aid or merit aid? I applied early and was accepted in October. I was invited to apply for SSA scholarships. I also applied for foundation scholarships. I have received notification of all my aid which is only merit - Dean’s scholarship, Hutton Scholarship, Knass scholarship. I do not qualify for financial aid. I was sent in the mail an outline of all my aid titled, Estimated Finsncial Aid Resources for 2017-2018. I could also view online. Did you create your one.iu acct.? I did have questions and called and they were very helpful in answering my aid questions. Hope this helps. @stillslightly

Thanks, it definitely does. As a side note, how much scholarship money did you receive? I’m just curious, that’s all

Hi, I’m out of state and received per year, 11k Dean’s Scholarship, 4K Hutton Honors Scholarship, Knass 1k. Waiting to see if anything happens with the foundation scholarships. A&S direct admit with stats: SAT (new)1500 and ACT 33, STEM interest, multiple ECs and volunteer hours. Applied for Wells scholarship but not selected. Again, I applied early and was accepted in October so they have had a lot of time to review my info. @stillslightly

IU foundation scholarships will be distributed in June and notification will be via IU email account

That is unfortunate those come out so late. I have to make my decision by May 1st. @prep4col

Haha yeah same @STEM2021 , it’s really hard to just assume that we’ll get the scholarship and accept the offer. Oh well, what can we do

Talked to the foundation, check your IU email, the lady said notifications will be going out soon and if you don’t hear anything by mid-May then you were not awarded a foundation scholarship. @stillslightly
