Did anyone get accepted from the waitlist yet for UCR? I know they come out in May, but I’m getting antsy and I’m wondering if anyone else got accepted recently.

Hi @foodisawesome! I’m a senior waitlisted to UCR as well. Although I haven’t been admitted yet…I do know of someone that has gotten accepted about a week ago. So I believe that a handful has come out already, but not a lot. I also called UCR admissions on Monday and the lady said that waitlist will most likely come out before May 1st. HOWEVER, I called again the next day and asked the same question. I assume it was someone different because the lady I called the 2nd time said that they don’t have a set date for waitlist notifications. Hope this helps! I have also gotten wait listed to the college humanities, arts, and social sciences at UCR. I’ve heard A LOT of people have gotten waitlisted at my school for UCR. I’m assuming those who decline ucr when they make a commitment means that we’ll hear soon because more spaces will be available. I’m concerned to as where I’m at on the waitlist position wise or how many people are before me. Throughout may I’m hoping I hear back from them good luck to you guys also!
I am anxiously awaiting my results also! I have been waitlisted for CHASS (College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences for Pre-Business. Hopefully I hear back before I make my decision on my second-choice. It would also be great if they get back to us before the housing deadline because I do not want to end up getting admitted and having nowhere to stay. There is no possible way I could commute to this school. I wonder how they accept people off the waitlist. Is it just in the order that we opted in? If so I opted in the first day but their website wouldn’t register my answer so I had to call in four times. Something was up with the system and they had to manually put me onto the waitlist. I wish all of you good luck on your admissions!
@rosettepetals did you ever get an email saying they accepted you on the waitlist… i only got something on my “MY UCR” account saying I was accepted on the waitlist but not an email.
@IREALLYWANTUCR - I got waitlisted at UCR and Cal Poly Pomona for a Sociology major. @heymaymay97 - They sent me a notification on MY UCR account and sent me an email too. You should check to see if they have the right email listed on your account or if the email is in your junk mail.
@heymaymay97 I never received an email from them either so I had to email them to confirm whether I am truly on the waitlist. I guess for some reason some of us never got emails.
CHASS waitlisted here, I just want to get in! At the open house, an admissions counselor told me that less than 1% got off the waitlist last year. Hopefully he was just mixed up 
@BasedMatt Oh no! D: I hope it’s not that low of a percentage this year.
@foodisawesome I’m hoping that they were just being overly cautious this year with the budget scenario, and they’ll accept everyone off the waitlist hahaha

Did anyone get waitlisted for BCOE? If so, did anyone get their acceptance? I am so nervous… they still didn’t send any notification…
@srisri I got waitlisted at CHASS and I haven’t gotten a notification either. It’s supposed to come out by May 15. I know many people still waiting for replies so don’t worry!
The percentage that get off the waitlist depend on whether or not the UC system gets more funding from Jerry Brown. The president of the UC system: Janet Napolitano is playing politics with Brown right now using CA students as bait. It’s honestly quite disgusting. They are in a stalemate right now with Brown refusing to give more money to UC’s and the UC’s in turn accepting more out of state than in state (since out of state pays more). I honestly don’t think this will be solved anytime soon, sorry to say 
Just goes to show you how political the world really is and how people who aren’t even in politics get affected by it the most.

@momo0327 i never got an email from them telling me if i were on the waitlist so i emailed them to ask if i were and they said yes
I was confirmed on the wait list on my UCR portal, then like 5 hours later I got an email.

I have been waitlisted UCR for chemical engineering major, and now there is nothing in my ucr account or email… I am so nervous right now.
