I applied 7 UC schools on the FAFSA form and received the California Student Aid Report or ( CAR ). It saids …

Cal Grant A $6,141 for UCLA, UCI, UCSB… those were the 3 schools listed there on the paper. The school that I plan to attend is not the first school listed above so I will have to complete and send the change form to CSAC.

I was wondering if UCSD needs anything from me? Do I have to send any additional documents to them ?

And if I do need to send something there…what is the deadline for that?

I know for UC Santa Cruz, they ned to receive additional financial documents by April 15th but I am not going there.

So I need to know the deadline for UCSD. I am worried that I might miss the deadline and I REALLY need that aid when I attend UCSD this fall.

you log into this website: http://myapplication.ucsd.edu
and when they tell that ou got accepted click continue and on the right hand corner you can see the preliminary award notice (PAN)-click on it. I don't think you need to notisfy UCSD, just return the CAR and then they will process it to the school that you changed as your 1st choice.

You know, instead of filling out the CSAC, you can just call Call Grant and inform them of your intended college choice. They'll fix it up for you right then and there. That's what I did.

Don't fret, it's real simple. I believe they ask you for your address in order to confirm you are who you say you are. After that, just tell the person to change your Cal Grant to your intended school.

I tried calling them this morning, 'cuz I have the same problem, and they said that their currently doing maintenence on their database. You won't be able to change it over the phone until next week, so she said to just mail in the letter that they sent with your Award Notification.

I am going to call to make the changes AND mail the paper change form next week to be on the safe side...

see the thing is that on the FAFSA form....they only had 6 slots so I applied as many UCs as I can to space except for UC Merced and UC San Diego because there weren't any room....

I got the CAR(California Aid Report) back saying that I am qualify for Cal Grant A ($6,121) for the following three schoos: UCLA, UCBerkeley, and UCI

but I got rejected by all three schools and I am planning to go to UCSD..... how do I get the 6k transfer to UCSD instead of UCLA, UCB, and UCI ?
