Does anyone know when we'll get them? I'm trying to complete the Freshman Checklist, but some of the stuff needs a Villanova username, and my novasis ID isn't the username.

lol someone’s eager

well, they’re switching the whole email system onto gmail, so current students haven’t even seen that happen with their accounts yet so probably after we get ours

My son got his in the mail 2 days ago and was once again able to access myNova and the rest of the freshman 2010 checklist that he hadn’t gotten around to completing. If you don’t get your mailer early next week, you might want to consider emailing the Office of the Registrar contact listed below in the email he received last week.

Dear New Villanova Student,

Since you are now a student at Villanova University, your account has been changed from the applicant account you have been using to your student account.

Your applicant account can no longer be accessed, but in the next few days you will receive a perforated mailer from UNIT, our technology support services department. This important mailing will contain your official Villanova personal identification information that will be used from this day forward to access all of Villanova Universitys on-line resources, including My Nova.

If you are unable to complete the items due by June 1 in Freshman 2010, please complete these as soon as you are able.

We look forward to seeing you in August.

Thank you.

Office of the Registrar

Our S received the printed mailer to log into the system. But the box where the password was supposed to be was blank. After an hour of waiting for support on the phone, were given the password. They said it was a typo to leave it out. Of course the password doesn’t work. Then tried to reset the password. That doesn’t work either. To my count there are

–a student id, like an email address but not
–an email address
–an eight digit number that is like a student ID number
–a separate login process for bursar bills
–a PIN code, used to get a new password I think.

There are both mynova and novasis, which are maybe related and the same but not clear about that.

Honestly, I thought my company had confusing IT systems but this is pretty frustrating! I hope things work more smoothly for these kids on campus than they have with the rollout they are doing now.

Oh yes, and the registrar’s office has never returned our emails for assistance other than the form email noted above. Call IT support.

guys, mynova and novasis are two different logins. with novasis you have your 8digit # id for access. however, access to mynova is the same username and password as your email since there is an email button within it. if you have access to mynova you’ll have access to your email. as for the little paper they send you, it should have had the temporary password to log into my nova. your novasis, however, stays the same as when you applied to the school (you just get freshmen links instead of application links). hopefully this makes sense.

anyway, it’ll be your first initial, last name, and perhaps a # @ villanova.edu
for example jsmith01 if your name is john smith and you’re the first jsmith at the school
this will also be the id you use to log into mynova but this password will be different from your novasis unless of course you make them the same password
