So I think I have my SAT scores set. I'm taking the SAT for a 3rd time this Saturday and the scores should be sent around the 25th of this month.

I'm applying to Cal Poly for early decision and the deadline is the 31st of this month. If my SAT scores aren't sent until the 25th, do I have to wait until then to send the application?

Now for the ACT:
Form my understanding, I have will have to send reports for EACH test. I have taken the test in June of this year and will be retaking the test on the 27th of this month as well. Will I have to pay twice for each school to send both? Is there a point at all to sending the second score if it won't be available at least until mid NOvember, 2 to 3 weeks after the early decision deadline?

Is there a way to send it to all CSUs just how theres a code for the SAT? Will I have to send the scores to each school? I need more info on the ACT, and theres only one counselor for my entire school. Any help is appreciated.

Application can be sent before test scores are available (that is true in applying to any college). In fact, you can even send test scores before sending application. Colleges start your admission file upon receipt of either.

With ACT, each test must be separately ordered and sent to a college… You will have to pay the extra fee for the June test. For the upcoming OCT test you still have time to designate four colleges in your test application as colleges to automatically receive scores upon release and for those you will not have to pay an additional fee to send Oct test. If you wait until scores come out before ordering them sent you will have to pay the additional fee.

For early decision at Cal Poly, the OCT ACT can be sent but it is not guaranteed it will arrive in time to be considered before a decision is made on you. Since fastest form of delivery is the one mentioned above, by designating Cal Poly on your test application as a college to automatically receive scores upon release, you should do that to maximize probability that score will arrive in time to be considered. You should send earlier June test when you apply to the college.

As to sending ACT scores to CSUs, you can send score to one CSU and then after it is shown as arrived at the one you can go on-line at CSUMentor, where you submit your CSU application, and use the ACT Scores Manager tool to send to other CSUs, see <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

So you said I can send the ACT to only ONE CSU and from there I can use CSUMentor to distribute to the others? I’m applying to 2 UC schools, Irvine and Santa Barbara, so I’ll only be using up 3 total slots out of the 4 free from the October test?

As for the June ACT test scores, I will have to pay for 3, meaning $33. Can I just send the ACT score to one CSU and then distribute it through CSUMentor or, because it’s an older test, do I have to pay to send to each individual CSU? I understand that the UC’s are individual no matter what.

Yes, you can send the ACT to only one CSU and then after it arrives use the scores manager tool on-line at CSUMentor to distribute to other CSUs.

You do not have to send ACTs to both UCs to which you are applying. You can send your official score to only one UC and then others automatically get it from the one (you don’t even have to do anything extra).
