Wait listed. Oh well. Expected it since I did apply for full FA.

Applied because there was no essay so not too much a bummer for me. But it looks like a lot of waitlists. How many people get in from the WL every year?

Just read their info thing, it said the most they have ever enrolled was 150. I guess a waitlist stings a little less than a rejection.

Waitlisted…
but i’m an international with very high need…anyone has any idea how many internationals get off the waitlist and end up being accepted? do they waitlist many internationals too?? idk whether i should be happy or sad :s

My S was admitted to the CAS.

My guess was they wait-listed people who were qualified but had not demonstrated interest. But I toured and everything so I don’t really know anymore. Oh well.

Waitlisted…would have rather been rejected to be honest. Not sure what to do now.

my son was waitlisted as well. Showed interest, toured, applied for scholarships to show interest. Interesting . Was anyone actually rejected? It seems like they waitlisted almost everyone.

Waitlisted! Hoping this is a good sign that I’m at least in the running for some schools of similar caliber.

Wait-listed…I sense a trend

Accepted to CAS!

Congrats to those accepted. I don’t know @perch1024, it just seems kind of silly to waitlist so many people when it is extremely unlikely they won’t get off the waitlist. It says on the information site they typically have “thousands of people on the waitlist” and the most they’ve ever accepted off it is 150…that seems kind of ridiculous.

Accepted! Good luck to all of those waitlisted!

I get the sense that they wait-list around 20-25% of those not accepted. This would make sense on a College Confidential level (we are all pretty competitive for admission and just got wait listed) and would fulfill the two or three thousand applicants put on the waitlist every year.

Waitlisted with a 4.0 and 36 and I visited…this school was my best shot at getting into so I guess I’m not looking forward to getting other decisions in the next few weeks :(

My daughter got accepted to Business. I’m sorry for all the waitlisted students - if it’s your first choice, write a letter to telling them you will come if admitted.

Rejected from COE. Not unexpected.

@kickemoff that’s not true. I had just about the most interest you could show, and I was waitlisted. I went to their summer program for god’s sake. I’m completely devastated.

Son accepted for engineering.

waitlisted.
I’m kind of disappointed, not because I really wanted to go to WUSTL, but because it’s a sign that I’ll likely get rejected from the other elite colleges I applied to :(

My S is waitlisted. @desie1 do you mind sharing your daughter’s stats?
