When the pooh hits the fan - you take a CHANCE!

Hi everyone!
I've included a rather detailed breakdown as I'd like some serious comments and advice! I am an international student with a ridiculous amount of financial need and I'm concerned that this will completely affect any admission decisions - even if I was pulling crazy SAT scores (which I'm not) I'm sure my finances will cause havoc!
Any comments and guidence would be appreciated, especially if they help narrow down my college list!:)

Winnie the Pooh? :]

where does that expression "when the ***** hits the fan" even come from?

Sorry I'm south african - its a saying here:) It basically means "when you're in trouble" figured it will get people to chance me:)!

lafayette and grinnell should be moved out of the safety category...

there are some colleges (such as tufts, i think?) where anyone in north america qualifies as need-blind, because the canadians and mexicans get aid from the same fund as americans do, and its everyone else for whom applying for financial aid actually has an impact on your chances. so i suggest you do some research on which colleges act like that, to capitalize on your resident-status in canada.

thanks:) I know cornell is needblind to canadian PRs but you have to live in the country:( but I'll look around... So are there any colleges that you would suggest getting rid of? I'm having trouble deciding on my reaches!

lehigh a reach, chicago a match??? interesting....

Well I guess both Chicago and Lehigh are reaches??? Um but I put chicago in the target category based on their aid - as they have more of it than lehigh and my SAT math score is in their range.
