Does it make any difference if you apply EA as soon as the app opens rather than towards the deadline? Does is make any difference for RD? If I wait I can get more courses/ECs/SAT Subject tests under my belt.

Note: I have mostly ruled out ED because financial aid is a huge consideration. I KNOW they say you can back out but for financial reasons but my cousin had a hard time with that, etc.

Thanks

At colleges with rolling admissions, it is advantageous to apply early (as in soon after the app becomes available). Ohterwise, there is no difference between submitting now and submitting the day of the deadline.

Thanks.

So, if the institution's online and printed materials don't specify rolling or not I just need to call the admissions office? <--- Pseudo rethorical

Bumpedy Bump Bump Bump

No bobman, if they are rolling you will know. If they have ED or EA, they are NOT rolling. UMich is the only top school I know of that is rolling. UIUC and some others have "priority deadlines" which is like a small advantage by turning in an app early, but you don't necessarily get a response earlier than April.
