When to take SAT subject test?

<p>I was talking to someone at school today, and she mentioned that in the rules for the SATs, you could only take subject tests AFTER you took the general SAT...is this true? I was planning on taking the SAT in June and my Math subject test early next year, like January or something, but she said that wouldn't be possible, because the general SAT has to be taken before. </p>

<p>If that is true, can I take the general SAT in December, and then retake it in June after I've done more studying and preparation?</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure this isn’t true.</p>

<p>A friend of mine took SAT II - Chemistry and Math 2 last June and is took the regular SAT for the first time this month.</p>

<p>You can take any test you want first, SAT or any subject tests.</p>
