When will colleges receive my SAT scores?

I'm just wondering how long it will take for colleges to receive my scores. I sent them Oct. 31st and as of now they just say "pending". I looked on various forums and some say it takes 1-2 weeks(which is fine) but others say 4 weeks(which sounds a lil too long). My scores are needed by the college by Nov 15th. Will they make it in time???

I just checked CB website for my daughter and it says all six colleges have been sent the SAT scores on 10/29. Three colleges are saying as of this morning they have not received them. I can’t figure the system out.

CB usually sends the scores within a week and usually less although it may sometimes take longer and possibly up to two weeks; four weeks can occur if there is a reason for delay such as your scores or your test site is being investigated for improprieties. In most cases, sending by CB and receipt of the score by the college are simultaneous events because “sending” consists of CB putting the scores into an online account that college has with CB. Any delay in showing receipt in your college app file thereafter is due to the college’s own processing procedures – some take a week to even two weeks to download those files and match them with the applicant’s files, some take only a day or two. There are likely still some colleges that instead of the online account have the scores mailed from CB on a disk. There might still be some that require paper scores to be sent but I doubt there are, including because CB has made it too expensive for colleges to have that delivery method.

It may take days for the college to file the scores and update the record. One school took over a week (when compared to other schools at the same time) to update the record for my D last year.

Thank you all! Also do you know if the CB will tell me when they have sent the scores or do I have to constantly check with the school?

All it matters is whether the school has received it and file it properly. So, do follow up with the schools through the portal or e-mail if necessary.

Alright, thank you

My scores were sent out this morning! Now I just waiting for my colleges to process them.
