wow frig thats really harsh on stanfords part. I know uc extended their deadline when their server crashed.
o well i guess that just means get Stanford’s done first

Yeah, it’s true. I wonder what they do with the application fees and everything. And I would hate to be the person who has to dispose of all the late applications. Like, it’s so much WORK and the adcom knows that.

Stanford is the “harshest” of the HYPSM schools in some regards, both in terms of applying and in terms of aid being not need-blind for all students. I was originally going to apply to it, but I got annoyed and didn’t.

^ so very true.

Ugh, Stanford’s app is so pretentious! Three extra essays, a dozen short answer, submit a month early if you’re submitting an art supplement, special mailing labels, gigantic 9x12 envelopes… and the app fee is $90!! That’s at least $15 if not $30 more than any other school.

Of course it’s worth if you get in. But that’s highly unlikely so… >:[

Thanks for the link… my advice then would be: turn the applications in now! Although I do look down upon Stanford for doing that!

I agree with Elfsheen, those were significant factors in my decision to not apply to Stanford.
