So I submitted my application on 10/11/17, and I wanted to know when everyone else was hearing back and when you guys think I will hear back (I applied EA). I know they have rolling admissions, but from what I researched and have heard it is frequently in 2-3 weeks. I know you can’t be certain, but if anyone else has heard back I would really appreciate it.
Also, when I submitted my application I had no teacher recommendations in because I knew I could add them later. Sadly, both of my teachers uploaded them later than they would (one still hasn’t done his and he promised it would be in by last Friday). Anyways, the one that my other teacher submitted was marked received by Emory in 2 days and received by Miami in about a week, but Tulane still doesn’t say anything. Does it take them longer to update it, or do they just not post that they received it on the website? Thanks, and good luck to everyone else applying!
Tulane does NOT have rolling admissions. All admission decisions will be released by December 15th. Some might hear earlier, some don’t hear until the deadline. They won’t review your application until they receive all the materials and your file is marked complete.
Yes, but they do accept on a ‘rolling’ basis, as in they do accept students before the deadline, unlike other schools like Emory which have a set time and date for each decision. And because Tulane doesn’t require any teacher recommendations, the second I sent my common application my application was marked complete, but for most schools, you can still send teacher recommendations after you send your application. So does this mean that they just don’t take recommendations after you submit your application?
There will be less release dates this year than in previous years, likely only a couple. It will not be “rolling” like in previous years. You will be updated on the admission decision release dates via e-mail or the Tulane Admissions blog.
You will not be able to see the teacher recommendations received on your Green Wave Portal, but if you call 504-865-5731 or email the admissions office at interns@tulane.edu, you can ask if and which recommendations they have received!
Do you know if there will be any differences in the automatic merit scholarships this year? Does applying ED make any difference with regards to the amount of any possible merit scholarship? My son would change his application from EA to ED if he knew he would receive enough merit scholarship to attend Tulane, so it is difficult to know what to do. Thanks
@X22011 If money is an issue, all college counselors would discourage applying ED for the sake of not knowing what a package would look like/if there would be one. I don’t know for sure if Tulane gives preference to ED, but I’m very inclined to believe that they do not.
hi. where did you get this info? do you know when they will start releasing? last year was october 31
