S18 applied for CV Honors back in October/November. Galaxy still shows “Application Submitted”. He has emailed regarding when notification of acceptance will be given but no response to emails. He is not NMF (automatic CV) but he is AES Honors. Does anyone know when he can expect a decision?
He should have heard back by February 12th if he submitted before February 1st. It says on the website that everyone who applied before the 1st would have received a initial response by the 12th. I would try calling them and asking.
“Students must be accepted to UT Dallas before their applications will be considered. Complete applications received by the priority deadline of February 1 will receive an initial response by February 12. We will continue admitting students on a rolling basis until the class is full, generally in late spring.”
If you are admitted to the Honors Program, would that mean that you do not need to sign up for orientation because they have a different timing? Or would you still sign up?
You need to sign up for one or the other, if you don’t know if you are in the Honors Program or not you should go ahead and sign up for regular orientation. If you find out you got into the Honors Program you will be able to change to your orientation date to the honors session. If you are already admitted into the Honors Program you should sign up for the Honors orientation Aug 15-16
I told DS he needs to pick up the phone and call since they haven’t responded to his email. He should have received a decision by Feb 12. The last time he called UTD about something, the person was actually very rude and that turned him off to the school. Hoping that he gets a better impression this time around. UTD is currently the cheapest school for us with AES Honors, and I think it has a lot to offer…but DS is unsure about fit. We are doing a re-visit in April if it’s still on the table.
