When will we hear about the acceptances?

It says the latest will be in April. Is there a chance they will be out before that, and if so when?

4/1 according to [College of the Holy Cross](<a href=“College of the Holy Cross - The Princeton Review College Rankings & Reviews”>College of the Holy Cross - The Princeton Review College Rankings & Reviews)

Early Decision Application Deadline: 12/15
Early Decision Notification Date: 01/15
Regular Application Deadline: 01/15
Regular Notification Begins: 04/01

Anybody know HOW they tell us?

Will they send us emails, regular mail, or what?

Does HC do it by email, web link, or regular mail?

I don’t know about what they do for Regular decision, but for ED they called and sent the packet by mail

I know the website says that RD notification starts 4/1, but if it’s that late how can they have an overnight visit for regular decision students on 4/2? especially when it says call 2 weeks in advance to schedule?

Is there any chance that the decisons will go out before 4/1?

Very good question, nek0212.
I never would have considered that because I live too far away to get up there for another visit. Someone could call their admissions office and ask them…any volunteers??? :)

From the latest admissions blog post ([Admission: Not Impossible | College of the Holy Cross](http://holycrossadmissionsblog.typepad.com/)) it seems they are done with the selections, so letters should be going out very soon.

I received a decision today. I live in MA. They were post-marked the 25th. Good luck.

I guess I’ll be getting my decision Monday. I live in Pennsylvania. gahhhhh

HC was the only rejection my daughter received last year. That letter seemed to come later than the acceptances that others had received, but we do live in NJ.

Does anyone know what the acceptance and denial envelopes look like? Will it be obvious?

The general rule of thumb for most schools :
small envelope = waitlist, deferral or denial ( even requesting more info to process )
large envelope = good news

On their admissions blog it says, “Whether you get the large envelope or small one, or whether you choose to accept our offer or find another place to call home, we thank you.” So i would say large envelope=admission

hopefully ill at least be accepted to holy cross today to make my certain-rejection from amherst less painful

Wow, I only applied to three catholic schools (HC, BC, G-town) and I may be hearing back from all of them on Monday…

Based on many reports from applicants, who have already received letters, over in the BC thread, you can find out your BC status by logging onto your agora account and seeing if you’ve gotten a sixth link that says something like “financial aid award” (not application). If you have it, you’re in. If not, the best you can hope for is the wait list.

I got my acceptance letter today (in MA) Probably won’t go there though.
