Do they consider financial aid when choosing presidential scholars? Some of my friends who applied for priority consideration (Oct. 15) got the scholarship, but didn’t fill out the FAFSA application?

@poofstyle did your friends do that this year, or prior years? Ie did they already receive presidential this year?

Yeah they did it for the 2016-17 school year

I think PS specifically states that there is a need requirement. However, I do not know how they determine that without FAFSA. Maybe on the application was an indication of income or something?

If I remember, on the Apply Texas application there were questions about income & $ sources for payment/contributions for tuition, etc.
