When you submit scores, are all scores from each time you take the test included?

When I registered my son for the ACT the 2nd time, they asked if i wanted his scores sent. I had them sent to 2 schools: Bucknell and Penn St. I neglected to do this the first time he took the test. My question is this: will ACT forward both test scores to the schools, or just the 2nd ones? The first time he scored a 30, the second time a 28. How do I make sure the schools see the better of the two scores?

ACT sends ONLY that paritcular test you order sent and will not combine tests in one send, and to send a prior test you need to go on line and have it sent separately for an additonal fee as to each college. SAT (College Board) is the opposite, it automatically sends all scores that it has on file for you whenever it sends any scores and that can be avoided only by exercising score choice.

It figures! Darnit. I thought they’d be like SAT. Is there a way of NOT having that lower score sent?

I would call them ASAP. I don’t think they will send scores to any schools if you took it with writing until the writing section is scored. Maybe you can stop them before they send them out. This is the reason that I do not recommend using the free reporting services until you see your scores (unless finances are a major issue).

Thanks for your help. I agree!

I called ACT and they said the scores went out today to the colleges. Is there anything else I can do? What a stupid thing to do. I should’ve never assumed.
