When's everybody registration?

I'm a jr this year, so I was wondering when registration actually ended (so when do the freshmen register?) Does it end around in December or in November?

I'm trying to take a placement test but since I missed this month's testing date (because I'm dumb and thought it was today) I'll have to take it next month. I think it takes about two weeks before I get the results, correct?

Anyways the classes that I'm trying to take will all have time conflicts so I'll have to write to the professors to register... I was going to write to them now even though I don't know if I'll pass or not.

Anyways by the time I get my results back it'll be around in December. If registration has ended by then, all the spots would've been taken (since its a small class and not a lecture) I was wondering when registration officially ended :) Can any of you freshmen tell me?? Thanks!

You are probably talking about Spring 2009(?)
Schedule of Classes: Spring 2009: Registration Calendar

AHHH thank you! I was looking for that! :D I was thinking maybe it got taken off line or something.

once again, very much appreciated!

I'm registering October 30 at noon, but I'm at my final semester at USC, so I have tons of units. I can't believe that this will be my last time registering!

Congratulations Nikara. Although we'll miss your great advice here on cc--so please stay involved. Do you have plans for after graduation?

Question: The site says continuing students register starting Oct 27, but they don't break it down to show the dates seniors, juniors, etc. will be allowed into the system. Is it done by total number of units? If so, do they include the units you just took in fall semester or ? My S is a freshman but got a lot of units in AP credit (32 units) so I'm trying to figure when he will be able to register. Thx!

He can look up his own registration time either on web registration or on the Oasis website. He is assigned a specific time based on units. Athletes register first, then everyone else based on the number of units.

Is there a way we can see which # of units register which days?
Because I remember seeing it once and realized I was placed under the wrong day, after which I told them and was given an earlier day.
I know some chart exists, but I don't think it's posted online..

I've never heard of such a list. Ask your advisor- they may have more information.

D's registration is on 11/17, she is a freshman with close to the max of AP credits (something in the vicinity of 30). Not sure how that compares with other freshmen.

Just looked up my S's on Oasis (thanks for the tip Nikara)--It said 11/13 at 10 a.m. He has 32 units from APs.

D has Nov 6th with max AP credit (actually had over the max, but received the 32 unit max).

I saw a list last semester with the number of units and registration dates in Marshall one time, so I know it exists, but I don't think it's online or readily available.

Are we expected to pay for the second semester tuition upon registration or does the bill come closer to second semester? Thanks.

S is a sophomore with 67 units completed (not counting in progress.)
His registration time is 11/6 at 11:45AM.

alamemom- Is your D a freshman? So do you mean she is registering on 11/6 with 32 units (not counting in progress)?

mdcissp- Tuition for Spring Semester is due 1/9/09

10/28 at 9am. Seems like I've been around here forever :)

Of course, by the time you end up with such an early time, you have no need for it :)

cc411, Yes, she is technically a freshman (graduated high school June 2008, entered USC Fall 2008) but her Oasis report has said "sophomore" since her transfer credit report was done this summer. I have no idea if any of this impacts registration priority, but she is also in TO and has a declared major. If it is a mix-up in her favor, she plans to be very quiet about it!!!

alamemom- not sure, but I think it was a mix up..that is a date most juniors would get.... lucky duck

Woo - hoo!

If your child is really a freshman but showing as a sophomore or above, make sure they talk carefully with their advisors. Some courses (such as freshman seminars) require freshman standing, and will confuse the registration system. The advisors can fix it so that your student can get into the classes, but needs to be aware of the problem.

alamemom- what TIME is your D's registration on November 6th?
