Where are you in AP Calculus?

Haha my BC class is so ridiculously ahead.. we are now doing advanced applicaitons of integration (arc lengths, 3-D surface area of rotation, fluid force). This is mainly as we cover all of AB in Second semester of our AP Calc 'I' class (don't ask) and AP Calc 'II' ends up covering all of BC by December and then about 2/3 oF DiffEq by end of Sem II. It's kind of screwy because you feel underprepared for AB but overprepared for BC but the teacher is amazing.

BC...um we just went past implicit differentiation and are now into trig functions.

In AB, we just finished derivatives of trig functions. According to my teacher, at this rate, we're going to finish the course in March, and then spend two full months preparing for the AP ("that's when you really learn Calculus").

Calc AB. The class begins Tuesday. Block scheduling in my school, and the class is only 3/4 of the year long. Doesn't make much sense to me,but oh well.

Curve Sketching, just finished applications of the Derivative.

we're on chapter 4. this is after the chain rule and other derivative stuff.

we will be done with the book by December.

calc AB, doing derivatives

Calc BC: My class is working on derivatives and differentiation.

BC

we are doing derivitives of logarithmic functions, and approximation, propegated error

BC: Finished with derivatives and related rates. Starting optimization problems.

BC -- Just started relative rates, max/min, and curve sketching.

Calc AB - Related Rates

hmm, i dont work on the ap course system, i do calc 1, 2, 3. im in calc 2 and ive finished alot of what we're talking about in this forum. would that make calc 2, ap calc bc?

We just call it AP Calculus, but I am sure it is AB. Umm...we're taking a test tomorrow over Chapter 3: Derivatives, Anti-derivatives, etc. Chain rule, power rule, all that good stuff. We're right about to learn product properties of derivatives.

AB: We're now on chapter 3: derivatives, but our calc teachers broke it down in 3 tests, and we've taken 2, so we're in the last third of this chapter now! w00t!

We just finished Related Rates, but we have skipped around a bit.

We are finding mins and maxs, antiderivatives, and graphs. it is the second chapter of derivatives, we are on chapter 4

My school does it so wierd...we took the AB last year in the class called AP Calc I/II, now I'm in AP Calc III. I never realized it until now, but it looks like we are completely finished the AP Calc BC curriculum, and have been so for about a month. We started the year doing Taylor and Maclauren series/polynomials which was the only thing for BC which we hadn't covered last year.

Now we just finished up parametric equations and are working on polar stuff.

BC: we are on solids of revolution - bah i hoped id never have to deal with washers and cans again

AB - product and quotient rule ::snore::
