Where can i go?

Hey guys. Gosh, these posts on chances are making me sad and discourage.

I come from a so-so, not too bad high school. most of the graduates went to local universities, community colleges, and joined the military. My high school offers only 7-8 AP classes. Unfortunately, we don't have much honors and advanced classes as some of you guys do. I provided semester grades in the parentheses.

Here are some minor facts about me:
1st generation
minority (chinese)
situated in Hawaii (does that mean anything??)
GPA: 3.9 on a 4.0 scale ( I usually receive all A's. unfortunately i sort of slacked off during my first semester of my junior year :( but it'll raise back up)
i dropped from being #1 to #6 (it's totally unfair that some students take the easiest classes)
planning to major in international relations

We will be going to Korea and teach Korean children English. Hopefully I'll get accepted; only 20 students state wide are chosen to go.

Perhaps during the year I'll take Spanish II at the same local community college from the summer.

I was on the Principal's List during my freshman year. I received an award for Japanese.
I guided a bunch of students from Japan around the school (does that count?)
i know my ECs aren't really that spectacular. I'm thinking about getting another volunteer job.

Where should i go with these kinds of stats?
I'm looking for schools that are private. I would like it to be located in CA, WA, OR, MA, NY, or perhaps DC. Actually, anywhere in the East coast or West coast. I haven't taken the SATs, but I'm going to take it on the 12th of March. I have written a college essay few months ago and my English teacher said it was excellent. I might have superb recommendations.

i am actually doing quite well in all of my classes right now :)

Get those SAT's and come back later...

Also, what other criteria do you have for a college, besides "private"? There are many private colleges in the regions you listed.

Right off the bat, I can think of Tufts, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown and Princeton. However, your SAT scores are necessary before we can actually give you any real list.

you guys are right. sats do play an important role. but hopefully i'll do well? i don't know. i like the student body to be around 2,000 to 15,000. somewhere around there. i don't really like rural areas, thus i like the campus to be in a suburban/urban area.

you know, this discussion board seems pretty cool. i've never seen so many outstanding students! you guys are all exceedingly smart and talented. i thought i might share my opinion.

Chinese is anything but a minority at most schools, and all top schools. Sorry.

If you can prove to a school that you're an eskimo, you're set. Haha..bad joke?

Jokes are supposed to be funny...

But, yes, you have is made in the shade is you can prove you are Eskimoan lol
