Should I just upload it onto the portal? Am I sure it’ll be seen then? Thanks!
As the #1 brand in college admissions, Harvard understands that every SCEA deferred student wants to attend their school. So, a letter expressing your continued interest isn’t going to make you stand out from the crowd. The better way to go is to write an update letter providing Admissions with awards and honors you have received since pressing the submit button. If you haven’t received any awards or honors since submitting your application, you are probably better off not sending in a letter that calls attention to your lack awards and honors. An update letter can be submitted at any time by uploading it to the portal. You just have to assume that your letter will be seen and added to your file.
@gibby What I have written is both a letter of continued interest and an update. I reiterate that I am still enthusiatic about the school (I know deferred people who have given up and moved on and will not bother with an update) and have also provided updates on the things I have done since October so I think it’s worth sending. Do you know who I should address it to?
“Dear Harvard Admissions” or “Dear Officers of Admissions”
Thanks @gibby!
