To any parents who had a child with a 34 ACT, where did they get into? Where did they end up?
Also, if you can include GPA and grad year, that’d be great.

My son had a 34 ACT. Grad year was 2014. He got into Berkeley, UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, UC Davis, Cal Poly SLO. He got into Engineering at all. He is now in his 3rd year at Berkeley. His GPA was a 4.4. Had 12 AP tests. Took SAT Math 2 800 on that SAT Physics had a 790. Hope that helps
My daughter had a 34 superscored (33 single sitting). She was a US citizen living in Canada. No GPA. Graduated 2016. Admitted to several Canadian schools and Santa Clara University. Rejected from 9 schools with sub 20% admission rates. She ended up in a Canadian school.
My s had a 34 ACT but he didn’t submit it because his SAT was a 1570/1600. He went to Rice.
My son graduated in 2007. He had a single sitting 34 and got into Rice, UVA, Davidson, U of Richmond, Denison, UF, Wake Forest, Rhodes, Elon and Trinity U. He got merit money from all except UVA, Richmond, Wake and Rhodes. GPA was around 4.2 W/3.5 UW if I remember correctly. It was a long time ago.
He ended up at Rice.
Why are you asking? Just because someone on this forum has a kid with the same stats as yours doesn’t mean YOU will be accepted to these colleges.
@thumper1 I’m well aware. Just asking. I don’t get why everyone on this website has to be so critical of everything people do, just saying.
My niece had a 34 and great GPA, and she got into both MSU and UofM. State gave her merit $$ but UofM did not. Applied to H but was rejected. She is very happy at UofM.
My son has a 34 and he has gotten into A&M and Baylor with Honors programs and a nice merit scholarship. Still waiting to hear from some other schools too.
@UofMorMSU I totally agree with you regarding everyone being so critical, etc. Don’t worry!
D16 got into UF, UNC Chapel Hill, Maryland, UC Santa Barbara, U Wash, U of Colorado, Stanford, CO School of Mines, Northeastern. She’s at Stanford. Weighted GPA was in the 5s.
@UofMorMSU Why are you criticizing @thumper for being critical (actually, you said *everyone * is critical). I took it to be curiosity and I am also curious to know why you asked the question.
Keep in mind that an ACT score is just one of many data points a college will consider. Students in the 34 ACT Club have a very diverse range of talents, motivations, and aptitudes.
Since students with 34 ACT scores would get accepted at the majority of America’s colleges, it might be more instructive to ask where they DID NOT get into.
D, 2011, 35 ACT, 4.0 GPA, top in large class, did not get into Stanford, Dartmouth, or Brown; wait listed at Middlebury and Pomona; got into several other schools.
Didn’t you start a similar thread asking where students with a 30-31 got in and the thread was closed? Do you have a 34?
**eta: found another of your threads. Your GPA and class rank will be your bigger challenge.
@UofMorMSU - Test scores are only one piece of the pie.
I think they’re ballparking, which seems completely appropriate to me given the nature of the website.

sobering post
^All these schools have a bunch of applicants with those stats. Heck, even MSU probably has a bunch of applicants with those stats. Not everyone gets in, and stats are a smaller piece of the puzzle as you go up the ladder.
