I can't find post grad surveys for any of the top schools that have these majors (including Juilliard). Where do they end up again?

lol nobody knows?

Starbucks?

Mostly as Drama/Theartre teachers in high schools...

I think alot of Drama majors end up in Yale. I know a couple of actors who went to Yale, and are now performing in famous musicals such as Mamma Mia, Miss. Saigong, etc.

It would be interesting to know what happens to performing arts majors. Of course, only a very few are actually able to support themselves by working in the business. How long do they hold on to the dream by working in places like Starbucks? At what point do they have enough of that lifestyle and move on? Anybody with data or anecdotal experience?

Theater majors who enjoy acting usually pursue work either in tv/movies or on the stage. Some people move to a large city like LA or NYC, get an agent, and go to lots of auditions while working another job. Usually they can find at least some work on soaps or in commercials, but this isn't always too rewarding for actors. Others will join local theater companies and perform in stage productions. Not all theater majors are actors though: some pursue work in screenwriting, stage design, costuming, teching, etc.

My friend's daughter recently graduated from NYU's Musical Theatre program, then decided to change course and apply to Med School. She's attending med school right now.

Wow, how did she fulfill the med school admisson requirements while in the MT program? That's pretty impressive!
