Where do i get haircuts???

Also, one more question,

does ackerman have a place like supercuts or something?

ya they do but its recommended not to go there lol

so how am i gonna cut my hair???

By hand, where else?

Ackerman has Campus Cuts. Students generally say not to go there. Otherwise, there are places in Westwood. But where? Well, you can look at the Westwood directory (google something like that) and figure out the hair salons and then use www.yelp.com and see what's well-reviewed.

Also, there's a thread about haircuts within the UCLA forum - do a simple search.

I use campus cuts and have no problems. It's cheap, efficient, and friendly. If you're a guy it should be fine, unlesss you have complicated or fussy hair.

Oh namaste... it depends on the hairstyle (yours is really simple and nothing fancy... it just is).

Campus Cuts is $14 with shampoo.
Sigal is now $20.
Ali's can be $30+.
Fama is $12.
Annie's has had mixed bag or responses, but it's cheap.

If you have time, you can go to Sawtelle. It's pricy but better. Or if you have 3 hours and a high capacity of patience, try Vidal Sassoon in Santa Monica. It's only $10 I think with a coupon.

For any other sources, be careful because you might have to risk an encounter like this. Check out this old post:

westwood and massachusets has suppercuts who charge 15+tips which they expect to get. I don't recommend showing up after 8 pm. Last time i came, a guy who looked like allen iverson, but on drugs cut my hair. he was breathing really hard, and appeared to be on some drugs. I was terrified. He did a horrible job too.

Hey weren't you asking on the board about Vidal?

I think Annie's is closed down now Boelter. I believe they've been replaced by something/someone else. Flopsy should know? I believe he recommended Annie's once.

Did they move in Hollywood videos for Annie's? I read reviews of how she was cold and was talking on the phone during haircuts. I guess whoever wrote that wasn't Asian.

Yeah, I asked about Vidal a long time ago. From past stories, the inspector comes and checks the hair after every snip. That's why it takes around 3 hours. But I suppose everyone knew that by now .

I usually go to Sigal in Westwood, it's on Westwood Blvd near Chili's.

Another option is to ask around your res hall. There was a kid on my S's hall who had been cutting hair for a while and would do ppl's hair for free. He was really good, too.

heck i just need a buzz cut...

nothing fancy
