Where do y.ou get your music?

I just got a brand new laptop and want to start collecting a music library.

What do you reccomend? I prolly dont have the money to buy all them on itunes..
is limewire safe? or is there anything like limewire anyone reccomends? or can someone explain what torrents are and is that a good way to get music? also, is there a service that you can pay monthly and just get unlimited music or something??

reccomendations?

thanks!

iTunes and Amazon.

Don’t discuss illegally downloading music. The FEDs and RIAA are watching!

Spotify’s the service you’re looking for but atm it’s not available in the U.S.

You can also check out Pandora or Last.fm

limewire is like having sex with a new york tranny

frostwire is like putting a kinda old condom on while doing it

youtube downloaders are best

torrents are cool, try bittorrent

For you-tube downloaders, its just a matter of finding the song you want of the greatest quality you can get it.

I either use iTunes or eMusic or I ask friends to burn me some music.

I purchase music on iTunes, but if I want to listen to the song in its entirety for free, I’ll typically search for it in Youtube.

Torrents for discographies and full albums; Frostwire for single songs. I really like Frostwire and recommend it over Limewire any day.

I rarely ever pay for music.

my limewire hasn’t caused any problems, but i recommend youtube downloading [just search “youtube to mp3 converter” and click on the first link it gives you]. really fast and easy, just be prepared to go through the songs and rename them

Torrents for full albums, Limewire for individual songs, but I haven’t used it for over a year. I also hijack my computer’s audio when I can’t find a song (a certain Yale-based group’s song comes to mind).

iTunes .

1) Torrents: I use uTorrent for my client and isoHunt or The Pirate Bay for searching

2) [NicoSound](http://nicosound.anyap.info/): For stuff on NicoNico.

You really can’t go wrong with iTunes… everything’s so much organized, easier to find, and it’s legal :)

If you don’t have the money to just download endless amounts of music on iTunes, maybe set aside $15-20 per month to buy an iTunes gift card for yourself. It’s easier than using a credit card with an iTunes account and it’ll help you limit your spending if you’re worried about the money. It might take a long time to build up a really extensive library, but it still gives you enough money to buy a reasonable amount of songs per month.

whenever I hear someone say itunes or talk about legally downloading I think of this

^ Haha funny one.

I use iTunes and BeeMP3

^^■■■■■.

But yea, I usually just use youtube downloaders.

Mmmm youtube downloaded flvs only let me rip audio out at 128kb/s. I do that only if I can’t find a torrent for it.

Torrents or Limewire…

I hate iTunes as I hate to the whole Apple monopoly

uTorrent=win.
