Where do you buy your clothes?

Nice! Good luck in the contest. And I know, I’m so excited because I get paid tomorrow  I know where that paycheck’s going before I ever even get it.

What’s with all of the brand snobbery? I understand having preferences, but I don’t understand the out and out catfighting and insulting, going both ways. Also, who cares where the “truly wealthy” buy their clothes?

On an unrelated note, I’ve seen a lot of neat stuff on Threadless but I wouldn’t even know how to start shopping there. The selection is so huge that I don’t think I’d be able to whittle my preferences down to just a few, and I’m definitely not made of money. The only place I’ve bought clothes online has been Jinx because the selection is a little more niche and less intimidating.

I only have one hoodie from threadless. Its the pillowfight one. :)

“I wouldn’t take one step into an A&F or Hollister. I refuse to associate with that store or anyone who shops there.” -christian612

Hmm. I think that says more about you than the person who wears A&F and/or Hollister.

Anyways, I buy my clothes at A&F, Hollister, J.Crew, American Eagle, Ralph Lauren, and Lacoste.

“And I work at A&F, make $7.25 an hour, get a 30% discount and I don’t consider anything in there overpriced. I buy all my clothes from there. I have done so for the last 2 years also, even when I didn’t work there or get a discount.” – Why Two Kay

Heh, same here. I love working there. I think their clothes are of excellent quality, and I can still wear shirts that I bought in middle school. Also, most of the shirts that A&F makes actually do not have “Abercrombie & Fitch” across the chest. That’s only the graphic tees. If you don’t like that, then there are plenty of other things in the store to purchase that just have the moose on it. And you know what I find hilarious? Even Lacoste has shirts that have “Lacoste” written across the chest; I just don’t buy them. And if you hate graphic tees, then just don’t buy them!

“People in college know how to dress and I dont mean trashy A&F clothing.”

Well, thank goodness they don’t make trashy clothing, then, right?

Aeropostale is just horrid quality, IMO. I’d never shop there.

“They use cheap, crappy material and jack the prices up big time. Walking billboards. Disgusting, classless store filled with classless people who think they’re awesome, trendy and rich for shopping there despite the fact that truly wealthy people dont wear that crap.” --diontechristmas

And I’m sure you know all the wealthy people in the world, correct?

I honestly don’t care where that other person shops but I don’t particularly liked spoiled kids telling me that I need to work harder to buy a $70 shirt.

Marshall’s
Forever 21
H&M
Old Navy
…every once in a while, I’ll get stuff from Walmart, Target, American Eagle, and Aeropostale.

Seeing as I am one, I have the direct perspective on the matter…

No, they do make trashy clothing, that’s why I said it. You’re real cool with your username Preppy09. I bet all your little high school classmates just loooooove you. LMAO

“Seeing as I am one, I have the direct perspective on the matter…”

Uh-huh, right.

"No, they do make trashy clothing, that’s why I said it. You’re real cool with your username Preppy09. I bet all your little high school classmates just loooooove you. LMAO "

It’s okay to admit that you know nothing about the brand. BTW, I just graduated from high school. Also, I see no problems with my screen name. So what were you saying? 'Cause if you’re trying to be insulting, you’re failing. Miserably.

Oh, darn, you dont believe me. Maybe I should make a new name: IWearTrashyPretentiousClothingLookHowCoolIAm09

Now do you believe me?

I don’t get why some people are getting personally offended. It’s clothes. If you like it, wear it. Just because somebody else dislikes it shouldn’t hold any importance.

Who cares? Honestly. People who wear exclusively A&F and the like can be annoying, yes. But get off your nonexistent high horse and stop judging people by the clothing brand they wear.

If you’re going to judge people by their looks, judge the way they carry themselves and their overall appearance, hygeine, etc.

“But get off your nonexistent high horse and stop judging people by the clothing brand they wear.”

Seriously. I wear the brands I wear because I like and perceive them as good quality.

" If you’re going to judge people by their looks, judge the way they carry themselves and their overall appearance, hygeine, etc. "

Yeah, I don’t care if someone is clothed in Dolce & Gabbana. If they smell bad, then it really doesn’t matter.

Anywhere and everywhere. I don’t stick to one place, if I see something I like, I’ll buy it.

Bump (10 char)

Oooh Threadless looks cool.

Just ordered a few shirts from Threadless actually.

My pants are all from PacSun, Kohl’s or the petite section of Macy’s or Sear’s. The reason is simple, everywhere else caters to average to taller people, I’m short and not twig-like either.
My t-shirts are from everywhere Threadless, Hot Topic, PacSun, Zumiez mostly, but for a t-shirt the brand doesn’t matter so much to me. I’ve got a lot from random concerts and other events too.
PacSun is pretty overpriced, but if someone else is buying, I shop there or Zumiez.
Marshall’s and TJ Maxx type stores are also good, and I like outlets, especially PacSun.

UO, Express and Target mostly. I also go to the cheap ones like filene’s basement or macys when they have the super sales

I mean yea some of ANF’s clothing is expensive for college kids but there clearance is nice for people that can’t afford the newer stuff. I just consider ANF cool and I feel by wearing it, it improves my chances of giving off a good vibe to the ladies bc I’m not the kinda guy that can get with any girl from my social skills bc my social skills are somewhat weak imo bc i’m shy. I feel that wearing nice clothes will slightly imrove my confidence.

Whatever floats your boat.

I agree that PacSun is overpriced…but not as much as some other places. Plus, employees get a 30% discount and 5 coupons each month for 50% off, and occasionally $10 jeans (any in the store)…so when I worked there, I bought tons of stuff. Even now though, I love the sale racks. You can find some great shirts for like $6!

I wouldn’t be impressed by a guy wearing A&F. My last guy was obsessed with AE, and that’s as preppy as I’ll go.
