CMC is often painted as a conservative school. CMC counters that claim by saying they are well balanced in terms of political affiliation. So where do you stand on the spectrum?

I'm liberal...and dont know what else to say

Maybe they're conservation in comparison to other schools, but they say that one third of the student body is liberal, 1/3 is moderate and 1/3 is conservative. Seems pretty balanced to me. Probably lots of debating going on. I'll be on your side fighting off those crazy republicans.

what i hear is...people tend to be economically conservative, but socially the majority of students are liberal.

I'm def. moderate.

i'm a "crazy republican" i guess LoL (go Bush!)

also i really don't think CMC is all tha tconservative, it's just any moderate/very well balanced school is conservative compared to most of the top colleges in the country, which tend to be really liberal. this is true especially becuase of the immediate context CMC is in. It's surrounded by super liberal schools like Pitzer and Pomona. So even though it's not really all taht "conservative" it definitely is in comparsion to all the school around it.
