It's common interview question that draws a ton of interest. Where do you see yourself?...

At 27, I see myself starting my long, stressful neurosurgery residency. Hopefully, I’ll have a nice girl to relieve some of that stress ;)

I like that view

We pretty much already have this thread, but okay.
10 years - in Ph.D. program
20 years - teaching at a high school because I couldn’t make it in academia

Sorry didn’t know we did…
You see yourself failing in academia. That’s a great plan.

It’s not what I want to happen, but it’s more realistic than the idea of me becoming a tenured professor somewhere.

I guess. In what field.

Math.

(10char. Or I could have just typed out “mathematics.”)

10 in graduate school and doing an internship with the UN hopefully
20 working with the UN in the Middle East and maybe married starting a family, I don’t know

27- Married and beginning a family. Looking into opening up my own law firm.
37- Finished having all my children and possibly running for public office.

A girl who likes math? Weird…
Starting a law firm… That’s really interesting.

Cringing over a desk in an investment banking firm, or rolling in dough, either way.

@LCengineerDT, where will to be in 10 and 20 years?

In 10 years I hope to be working as a successful engineer. Maybe a family too.
20 years- I want to have debuted a addition to the field.

I will be a world famous researcher at 27. At 37 I would be a Nobel Laureate with a tenured professorship at MIT.

That’s some high goals. I applaud you.
