Where/if to include political participation?

Well, I want to go into politics, and it's truly my passion. Right now I'm writing my resume, and trying to decide what to include and what not to include.

I was thinking about including my recent campaign work for Ron Paul through his grass roots movement (I've put in roughly 125 hours thus far). Now my question is, should I include this on my resume? And if so, where would you include it? (Under extracurriculars or community participation?) Also, should I indicate the candidate's name? I don't want the adcom to have a bias against the candidate and thus against me, but I'm afraid it won't be seen as legit if I'm too vague (i.e. "for a candidate").

I included campaign work under community participation. I didn't include names or parties, but described the type of work that I had done and left it at "2002 Gubernatorial Campaign." Where my work wasn't very politically 'charged,' I was more specific (campaign to build a local library).

Just my route. Same train of thought as you seem to be having. I think that you could just as easily categorize campaign work as an EC, especially since you've done so much of it.

Good luck :)
