Sorry in advance if this isn't the right forum for this question...

Anyway, I've done all my research and my visits and two schools have come to the top of my list: Duke and Vanderbilt. I honestly love both of them and would happily attend either. I loved Vanderbilt's location in Nashville, and I loved the sense of community that seems to be present among the freshman class. As for Duke, I loved its school spirit and I've never seen a more beautiful campus honestly. I'm interested in doing pre-medicine, and it doesn't get much better than at Duke. Plus, Duke has been my "dream" since I was eight years old...but I fell in love with Vandy too.

My parents are really pushing me to apply ED somewhere since it improves chances of admission. I love both schools and would be happy to attend either if accepted. I just can't decide which to apply ED to.

The thing is, my school (about 2000 kids, public, in NJ) very rarely sends kids to Duke - I think something like 6 people have been accepted in the last five years. The last person to attend was in the class of 2009. Whereas at Vanderbilt, three times as many people have been accepted in the same amount of time and I actually know people who have attended. I feel like I'd have a better chance at getting into Vanderbilt, but at the same time, I've dreamed of going to Duke since I was little.

I don't want to base my decision on which I'd have a better chance of getting into, but should I?
