Where should i apply to college?

My gpa is around a 2.3 and my sat scores are around a 1320. im actually an extremely smart student but clearly made some wrong decisions. I have a pretty solid resume as for proving myself being an active student in school sports, some clubs and fundraisers. I also have some community service in there. What are my chances into getting into any of these schools of what you know? be completely honest because i do know where i stand with my low grades and sat scores but i do need to know what is the best fit for me.

Rowan University
Rutgers University
Kean University
West Virginia University
East Carolina Universty
Montclair State University
Towson University
Stockton University
Seton Hall University
East Stroudsburgh University

I do realize some of these schools seem a little above my potential but those are my top schools. Please reply with any honest feedback you can give me to answer my question.

Thank you, i appreciate it.

are you a junior? if you retake the SAT and try the ACT and aim for as close to a 4.0 for the remainder of your high school career. If you are a senior im sorry to say most of these schools would be out of your range mostly because of your gpa but if you have a compelling excuse you may be able to make up for that. Unforunately admissions are primarily driven by two things your GPA and Standardized test scores but having good ECs will work in your favor. You have the best chances at kean, east carolina, montclair, east stroudsburg and maybe rowan but these are still reaches. Il assume that your from jersey based off the amount of jersey schools but i would recommend community college for two years then transfer to one of these schools.

i totally understand what you’re saying and yes i am from jersey and yes i am a senior doing my best to get my gpa up which i have! thank you for the positive feedback and i am surprised you mentioned ECU and not WVU because the way i looked at it i was almost positive WVU was a definite and ECU would be a lot harder. any recommendations from specific east coast schools that would suit my benefit would be extremely appreciated! i plan on going to a community school only if none of my top schools take me.

I think you will have a chance at West Virginia but It seems to be getting more competitive but certaintly not out of your range. I think there is a december SAT so i would suggest you definitely take it cause if you can get it upto at least a 1500-1600 hundreds of more options will be present for you. I would say look at albright college, definitely take a look at the CUNY which are the city universities of new york like hunter college, virginia commonwealth, maybe old dominion, florida a&m, georgia southern, georgia state university, IUP, umass boston or lowell, also try for monmouth.

i try to think of more for you but definitely take the SAT again if you can it will only make your life easier and keep up your grades this year colleges love improvement.
