Where should I apply?

Hey so I'm looking for some good Undergrad Business schools. I was thinking of applying to Ivy's but they are too expensive for me. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm really hoping to go to the east or west coasts. Thanks

Stats? Cost restrictions? Home state?

Home State: Arizona.

Cost Restriction: 40k is a little on the expensive side, but I can manage that risk if its worth it.

Stats: GPA: 3.7
ACT: 33
various volunteer organizations inside and outside of school

What’s family income? Ivies give out the most aid if there is a need.

110k. Do most schools give aid for that level?

Nope, not much.

Arizona State is not bad - they have quite a few people going to work for my employer, the brokerage house Edward Jones, in their home office in Tempe now.

You should seriously consider ASU then. The business school is #30 for grad school so the undergrad is probably pretty good too. You could be in the honor’s college there so your class sizes would be small.

You’d also qualify for 1/2-full scholarships at a lot of the big football schools like Alabama. They also have honor’s colleges.

You could also apply to private schools and see how much merit aid they’ll give you. I know Miami likes to attract good students with good merit aid.

@teenbodybuilder: I’m not as much a college football fan as I am an NFL fan, so what would be some of the colleges you would suggest with good business schools? I’m really interested in half a full ride.
@theothers: thank you! That helps a lot.

UVA, UMich, and UTexas are fantastic for business but they’re expensive at ~$50-55k for non residents.

Indiana University is very good for business and I bet you could get a nice scholarship since you’re well into the 75th percentile for ACT.

Georgia Tech would cost around $40k before you get any aid, it’s one if the best values in the nation. It has a strong business school too.

Penn State is another good school like Georgia Tech with low oos cost.

U of Arizona would save a lot of money and has a pretty good business school.

Thank you, that helps!
